Tech Cornwall is a non-profit membership group of individuals and businesses supporting Cornwall's tech scene. We have 100+ member companies and represent 3000+ individuals working in software, digital and technology in Cornwall, UK.
Our aim? To light up a dynamic tech community full of energy, fresh ideas and expertise that inspire the next generation and be a force for good in our region.
We do this in three ways:
An award-winning and extensive Youth Programme; we're in almost every primary and secondary school in Cornwall teaching code clubs and inspiring the next generation whilst also offering unique and award-winning work experience. We've reached 30,000+ young people in Cornwall with our programme.
Our Tech Academy supports learners who are upskilling within local tech companies and individuals career-switching into tech. We've placed 35% of career-switchers so far with local companies on our new programme. We offer accredited Agile & Scrum foundation courses as well as a huge range of other courses, from AI, Test Driven Development, Agile leadership, Power BI and more.
Our extensive Events Programme includes the biggest Agile conference in the UK: Agile on the Beach (4-5 July 2024, Cornwall, UK) and the most founder-focussed event in the UK, Cornwall Slush'd (12th September 2024, Newquay, Cornwall, UK) backed by Europe's biggest tech startup event, Slush. Cornwall Space Cluster:
The UK’s first licensed spaceport, Spaceport Cornwall offers a safe, dedicated and responsible way to access space, capable of supporting small satellite launches, future flight activity and connecting people, businesses and ideas.
Spaceport Cornwall offers launch critical operational facilities, landside offices and labs. At the heart of Spaceport Cornwall is the Centre for Space Technologies (CST), a series of world-leading R&D and innovation facilities designed to provide safe, dedicated and responsible access to space.
The CST has been designed with a clear vision, to connect people, businesses and ideas to benefit both people and planet. A Place for Space for Good.
